Every moissanite ring, pair of earrings or pendant is made around a stone. We sell loose moissanite, DEF colourless and VVS clarity, from R 1 600. You choose the stone here, and your jeweller sets it in the piece you have in mind. That way the design, the metal and the maker are your choice.

Choose the stone
Pick a cut and a size. Every stone is DEF colourless and VVS clarity, and each one is shown at its real size on your screen, so you know how it will look on a hand before you buy.

Choose the jeweller
Any good bench jeweller can set moissanite. Use the jeweller you trust, or one who has made pieces for your family. Our setting guide gives them the technical detail they need.

Agree the design
Your jeweller quotes for the metal, the setting and the making. Bring the stone, its size in millimetres and the ring size. A solitaire is usually the simplest and quickest piece to make.

Have it set
We send the stone by tracked courier, free anywhere in South Africa. Have it delivered to you, or put your jeweller's address at checkout and it goes straight to the bench.

What to make
Earrings
Studs need two stones that match. We can cut a matched pair to order in about three weeks, so ask us before you order two of a size.
Pendants
A single stone on a fine chain is one of the easiest pieces to make. Pear and oval cuts hang well, and a round always suits.
Rings for every day
Moissanite is 9.25 on the Mohs scale, harder than anything but diamond, so it suits a ring worn every day. Ask your jeweller for a setting that protects the girdle.

Do you sell finished moissanite rings?+
Not at the moment. We sell loose moissanite stones, and your jeweller sets the stone in the ring you choose. It means you choose the metal, the design and the person who makes it.
Can any jeweller set moissanite?+
Yes. Moissanite is set the same way as diamond, with claws, a bezel or channels. It is hard and tolerates heat well, which makes it forgiving at the bench. Our setting guide for jewellers covers the details.
What does a moissanite ring cost in South Africa?+
The stone and the setting are priced separately. Our stones start at the price shown on each cut, and your jeweller quotes for the metal and the making. A simple solitaire in 9ct or 18ct gold costs far less than a diamond ring of the same size.
Can you send the stone straight to my jeweller?+
Yes. Put your jeweller's address as the delivery address at checkout. Delivery is by tracked courier and free anywhere in South Africa.
What if something is wrong with the stone, or I change my mind?+
Our lifetime warranty covers the stone set or unset: if its brilliance, fire, colour or clarity ever changes, we replace it (damage done while setting it isn't covered). A stone that arrives faulty is always put right. If you simply change your mind, an unset stone can come back within 14 days of delivery, so check the size on your screen before it goes to the jeweller.
Is moissanite good for an engagement ring?+
Yes. It is colourless, has more fire than diamond, and is hard enough to wear every day for a lifetime. It is the stone we have sold for engagement rings in South Africa since 1999.
